This section contains concise expositions of the basics of contemporary physics and cosmology - or more specifically - the Standard Model of particle physics, Quantum Field Theory and General Relativity, together with an exposition of Vedanta - an ancient science, which can be regarded as the forerunner of Buddhism.
The expositions are primarily targeted an audience which may have heard this or that about the topics at hand, but hasn't had any kind of systematic walk-through. The expositions date back to 1997 and thus the physics sections are not quite up to date. They were, however, up to date at the time of writing - at least as far as generally accepted mainstream and standard models and theories go.
The introductions come as three tours of seven web pages each. It is recommended to read the pages of a tour in their natural order, rather than randomly picking pages from the sidebar shortcuts.
The Frontiers of Quantum Physics
An exposition of Quantum Field Theory - a universal theory of where it all comes from. Where you may find that there is much more to particle physics than just physics. It is no advantage to be familiar with Quantum Mechanics beforehand. Mechanics is not the issue at the most fundamental levels of the reality, which currently is known to physics - (mainstream, 7 short pages).
Cosmology and General Relativity
When I first started out on this section my intention was to criticize General Relativity. However, in the quest for pin-pointing its flaws I realized that I just had never understood it. General Relativity may be incomplete in its present shape, but in its way of dealing with the very structure of space-time it definitely widens our concept of reality - (mainstream, 7 short pages).
Vedanta or the Rishi Legacy
The practical fundamentals of Vedanta, an ancient theory of everything. There is more to reality than currently pondered by physics, and - as will be learned in this section - science does not necessarily have to stop just because things are getting metaphysical - (traditional, 7 short pages).
